Staff Embrace Autism Education Trust’s Work-Based CPD Programme

Championing Inclusive Classroom Practice in Our Trust.
We are proud to announce that this week sees the launch of Autism Education Trust’s Work-Based CPD Programme in schools across Omega Multi-Academy Trust. By engaging in this nationally recognised training, colleagues are showing their commitment to providing high quality inclusive education, enhancing autism awareness and implementing best practice to support all pupils.
Kathryn Quigley, Associate Director for SEND said, “Aligned with the AET’s vision for a world where every autistic child and young person enjoys a positive educational experience and wellbeing, our staff are dedicating time and effort to deepening their understanding of the strengths and unique differences of our pupils.”
Participation in the two-year Work-Based CPD Programme will promote a school-wide culture of autism acceptance and inclusion, as colleagues learn effective strategies to support each individual’s needs in the classroom, simultaneously enhancing inclusive practice for the benefits of all students.
Andy Day, Director of Education, said “Investment in AET’s programme reflects our ongoing commitment to create an environment where all children feel known, valued and supported.”
