The new school year is in full swing throughout Omega Multi-Academy Trust, with pupils and staff throwing themselves into learning and community activities.
At Westbrook Old Hall Primary, pupils have been spending time in their Forest School, searching for mini beasts and birds. They worked together to share discoveries, before heading to the mud kitchen for some hands-on, messy fun.
Park Road Community Primary has kicked off the term with Design Technology projects that range from pop-up books to moving vehicles. Pupils have been busy problem-solving, bringing their ideas to life and setting the tone for a creative year ahead.
Burtonwood Community Primary welcomed families into school for their Meet the Teacher event. Parents and carers had the chance to meet staff, hear about the curriculum, and ask questions about the year ahead. The event was a chance to strengthen home-school partnerships and set a collaborative tone for the term.
Chapelford Village Primary Year 4 pupils started their science topic on electricity. They worked in groups to sort electrical appliances into mains- and battery-powered categories, sparking curiosity and discussion.
Bradshaw Primary has been a hive of activity! Year 1 children have been using magnetic letters to build phonics skills, while Reception pupils enjoyed their first music lesson exploring rhythm through clapping and stamping. Outdoors, pupils created self-portraits using natural materials, turning leaves and sticks into works of art.
Alsop High School introduced its Sixth Form Student Leadership Team for 2025. These students will be helping shape the culture of the Sixth Form, organising events and supporting their peers throughout the year.
Great Sankey High School launched its Performing Arts extracurricular programme for the year, with opportunities for students to join clubs, take part in instrumental and vocal lessons, or get involved in the upcoming production of Annie. Choir has also returned, now led by new vocal teacher Nicole Boardman.
A great start for all our schools with learning, collaboration, and creativity taking centre stage as they look forward to an exciting year ahead.
