Defining Our Values
Omega Multi-Academy Trust has embarked on a journey to redefine our values, placing collaboration at the heart of the process. To ensure that our core principles reflect the aspirations and perspectives of the whole Trust community staff, students, governors and trustees across primary schools, secondary schools and sixth forms have contributed to the process of identifying the values which are most important to them.
Separate sessions have been hosted for staff and students and the active participation of both will be crucial in shaping values that will help us to provide the best school experience for every child and to be the best employer we can be.
The objective of these sessions was to involve a representative group of staff and pupils from across the Trust to revisit our core values, so that they represent the Trust we are and the Trust we want to be.
In a recent session, 46 pupils from across the 7 schools in the Trust asked themselves "what values and behaviours they demonstrate when they are at their very best". They worked collectively to group these and had the opportunity to vote on the values which most powerfully represent who we are as a Trust.
The insights gained from these sessions will be carefully reviewed and the Omega Multi-Academy Trust leadership team will compile a cohesive and comprehensive set of values that reflect the aspirations of its entire community.
Christian Wilcocks, Chief Executive Officer of Omega Multi-Academy Trust said “As we move forward it is important to create a set of values that underpin our core beliefs and influence the behaviours we exhibit. The students are the most important people in our Trust and it has been fantastic to be able to involve students of all ages in the process and to witness them working together so well.”
