We are proud to announce that Burtonwood Community Primary School has been officially rated as "good" under the current, more rigorous Ofsted Inspection Framework, following their full inspection on 23rd and 24th May.
The report, published by Ofsted today, highlights how pupils feel safe and happy in the school, that they enjoy learning and they achieve well across a range of subjects.
Inspectors noted how leaders have thought carefully about the knowledge they want pupils to acquire as they move through the school and have designed an ambitious curriculum. They identified that pupils with additional needs are well supported and progress well through the curriculum.
The report recognised the commitment of Governors and Trustees. Acting Headteacher, Sarah Ignatius, commented
“We feel proud that the hard work of everyone in our school community has been recognised in the findings, including the positive comments about our wonderful pupils, our hard-working staff and committed governors. As we approach the end of a significant school year we eagerly anticipate an exciting future and are determined to build upon our achievements and provide the highest quality education for all our children”
Burtonwood Community Primary School will be under new leadership in September, when Jason Heatley takes up his post as the new Headteacher. Mr Heatley is already working closely with leaders at the school and the Trust, to continue the great work achieved at the school.
