Congratulations to Alsop High School’s Caroline Jones who has reached a remarkable milestone as she celebrates 50 years working in education.

Now PA to the Executive Headteacher and Head of School, Caroline has spent the past five decades on a career journey that has seen her remain part of the same school community throughout and become a well-known face across Alsop.

Caroline first arrived at Queen Mary High School, which later amalgamated with Alsop High School, as an 11-year-old student in September 1970 and completed her studies there.

But she did not stay away for long, and returned to the school in December 1975 swapping her studies at Queen Mary High School to become a member of staff, starting work as a General School Assistant.

From there, she moved into the school office as a Clerical Assistant, where she became a familiar point of contact for students, parents and staff.

When Queen Mary High School amalgamated with Alsop High School in 2002, Caroline transferred to the Alsop school office as an Administration Officer. Over the years, she took on increasing responsibility, progressing to Office Manager and she now works as PA to the Executive Headteacher and Head of School.

Throughout her career, Caroline has supported generations of families and staff. She is often recognised by visiting parents who remember her from her Queen Mary High School days and she continues to be well known to visitors.

Caroline’s story reflects a career built on consistency, service and commitment to education and her long-standing knowledge of the school and its community continues to be valuable to everyone.

As we mark this 50-year milestone, we thank Caroline for her continued contribution to education and the school community.
