Children put their best foot forward to raise more than £3,000 to help repair the roof of their local Village Hall.

The sponsored fun run took place on 20th May with Burtonwood Community Primary School’s whole community coming together for a fantastic afternoon of fun and fundraising to raise money for St Michael’s Village Hall roof.

Children from Reception to Year 6 took part in the event, each year group running at different times throughout the afternoon. Dressed in their own sporty clothes, the children gave it their all, showing great energy, enthusiasm and determination.

As well as completing their sponsored laps, pupils also enjoyed a range of fun £1 stalls, including Coconut Shy, Ring Toss, Tin Can Alley, Name the Bear, a cake stall, and a popular refreshments stand. There was also a raffle with a great selection of prizes kindly donated by families and local businesses.

This initiative is a fantastic example of how our pupils live out the values we aim to develop throughout the Trust.

The commitment shown by the Burtonwood community, especially the pupils, is commendable, and raising over £3,000 for a local cause highlights a genuine sense of responsibility and care for others.

Well done everyone!
