Schools across Omega Multi-Academy Trust took on the challenge of doing something funny for money, raising more than £1,000 for Red Nose Day.

From soaking teachers with sponges to dressing in wacky outfits, pupils across the Trust had the chance to have fun while making a donation to charity.  Each school brought creativity and energy to the day, making it a memorable event for all involved.

Red Nose Day took place on 21st March as part of Comic Relief, a charity that funds projects to improve the lives of children, families, and communities. Supporting national charity days like this, is a great way to encourage children to think of others in their communities and the wider world while raising money for a good cause. The combined efforts of pupils, staff, and families helped raise both funds and awareness for projects aiming to make a positive difference across the UK and beyond.

Chapelford Village Primary School marked the occasion with a variety of activities. Class 3 took part in a Bluey Springtime Walk, exploring the school grounds to spot signs of spring using a special Red Nose Day Bluey tick sheet. In Year 5, students celebrated 40 years of Comic Relief with a themed maths lesson, solving arithmetic questions where every answer was 40 and coming up with their own calculations to reach the same number.

At Burtonwood Community Primary School, pupils held a Crazy Hair Day fundraiser. Children and staff showcased colourful and creative hairstyles to support the cause.

Westbrook Old Hall Primary School also embraced the fun, dressing up in funny outfits for the day, including back to front clothes, whacky hair styles and even inflatable giraffes!

Great Sankey High School hosted a lively "Sponge the Teacher" challenge, where students tested their aim while ensuring no teacher stayed dry. Large crowds gathered to watch and participate throughout the activity.

Park Road Community Primary School encouraged pupils to wear red clothing or a Red Nose Day T-shirt to mark the occasion. Some children also marked the 40th anniversary of Comic Relief by dressing in 80s-themed outfits. Throughout the day, pupils also took part in a variety of Comic Relief-themed activities.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and contributed to making Red Nose Day a success across the Trust.
