Chapelford Village Primary School is delighted to announce the official opening of its brand-new eco classrooms. The school welcomed Mayor of Warrington, Cllr Steve Wright, who did the honours of officially opening the new, state-of-the-art modular building.

The project was prompted by the growing demand for spaces in the school and the new building is now home to four Year 6 classes and an additional hall space.

Head of School, Laura Tottie, said, "We are thrilled with the completion of the project and are extremely grateful for the opportunity to extend our exceptional school to welcome more children within our community. This new additional classroom not only enhances our current indoor and outdoor learning spaces but also offers a dedicated Year 6 learning hub. This space empowers our oldest children, fostering independence and equipping them with the skills needed for a seamless transition to high school.”

Adding a special touch to the occasion, Clive Stannard, a notable School Governor who had dedicated over 40 years to the school, was invited to the official opening. In recognition of his years of service and commitment, the new building has been named 'The Stannard Suite' in his honour.

The celebrations continued with a delightful carol concert and musical performances by the talented Year 6 students. Parents were then invited to explore the new classrooms and modern facilities designed to enhance the learning experience for all students.

The Mayor first met Chapelford children when the school council visited him at the town hall last year. A further visit took place in school at the beginning of this academic year once the new school council representatives were elected and the Chapelford children made a great impression on him. As he officially opened the building with the ceremonial cutting of the ribbon, her declared, “This is a great honour. It is a very special building, but what makes it special is the children.”

Families looking for primary school places in all year groups are encouraged to contact Chapelford Village Primary School directly if they wish to take a tour of the full school, which includes the new building.
