The summer term is off to a strong start at Omega Multi-Academy Trust, with pupils returning from the Easter break ready to learn, create, and achieve.
This term is a particularly important one for many students preparing for their exams. From Year 6 pupils getting ready for their SATs, starting on 12th May, to older students facing secondary-level assessments, it's a time of dedication, revision, and support. Staff across the Trust are working to help learners feel confident and prepared and the Trust wishes all students, staff, and families the very best of luck for a successful end to the year.
While exam preparation is in full swing, schools have also made an exciting start to the term with a wide range of enriching activities.
Great Sankey High School relaunched its STEM Club with rocket building, and on the sports field, students made their mark in football and hockey fixtures, with the Year 9 boys securing a place in the Cheshire Cup final.
Alsop High School’s Year 9 historians built air raid shelter models for homework, with prizes awarded for standout designs.
Park Road Community Primary pupils celebrated their successes with “Breakfast with Mrs Quigley” after earning more than 300 positive points.
At Burtonwood Community Primary, a new Morning Yoga Club brought calm and energy to pupils through fun, engaging sessions, while Chapelford Village Primary’s Gardening Club got underway with strawberry planting and outdoor learning. Chapelford’s Early Years children also welcomed hatching ducklings, linking with lessons on responsibility and growth.
Westbrook Old Hall pupils began a new English topic with a school grounds litter pick, while Year 3 children explored plant growth through seed experiments.
At Bradshaw Primary, Year 4 pupils proudly showcased their learning to parents in a joyful and confident celebration.
What a great start to the term!
