Omega Multi-Academy Trust schools are marking the holiday season with a variety of activities, performances, and initiatives that bring students, staff, and communities together.
Each school is contributing to the festive spirit in its unique way.
Burtonwood Community Primary School
Burtonwood is engaging with its local community through its annual visit to St Michael’s Church, where students performed hymns and shared readings.
The school choir also participated in the Burtonwood Village Christmas Tree Light-Up event alongside the Warrington West Concert Band.
Additional highlights include a Year 2 Christmas Journey Trip to All Saints Church and the annual Community Carol Concert!
Bradshaw Primary School
Bradshaw’s recent Christmas Jamboree was a great success, bringing families into the school for a day of shared celebration.
Upcoming performances include Little Angel Gets Her Wings, staged by Key Stage 1 students, and a Community Carol Concert at St Elphin’s Church.
Children will also be enjoying the festivities with a Christmas Jumper Day and lunch and singing around the tree on the final day of term.
Park Road Community Primary School
At Park Road, the holiday season is in full swing. The Happiness Heroes, HPL Ambassadors, and Animal Welfare Ambassadors, supported by the Head Boy and Girl, have worked together to decorate the hall’s Christmas tree and stage ready for upcoming performances.
The school’s "Advent of Kindness" initiative is encouraging students to focus on thoughtful actions, fostering a positive atmosphere.
Pupils enjoyed a performance of Beauty and the Beast, with picnic lunches provided by the kitchen.
Reception and KS1 performances as well as a Festive Forest School experience, offering crafts and campfire activities are planned for the final days this term.
Westbrook Old Hall Primary School
Westbrook is hosting a series of festive events, which began with this year’s PTFA Christmas Fair and a visit from Santa Claus himself.
Year 4 put on a fantastic Christingle Assembly and there will be performances for friends and family of children in Reception and Key Stage 1.
In the run up to the end of term there will also be a festive Christmas Jumper Day and special school lunch as well as Christmas parties for all year groups!
Chapelford Village Primary School
Chapelford’s busy holiday calendar includes a number of Winter Discos, carol singing for friends and families as well as the Reception Nativity, A Miracle in Town.
The Christmas Tree is ready after each year group made their very own decoration which they hung ready for the lights to be switched on.
The school will also be holding a Christmas Dinner Day and festive parties, providing a mix of tradition and fun for all pupils.
Alsop High School
Alsop High School is holding a 25 Days of Kindness Advent Challenge to encourage students to perform daily acts of goodwill. The young people have been assigned 25 simple tasks to facilitate kindness. Acts of kindness include students being encouraged to phone or message someone they may not have spoken to recently or request to wash the dishes or to pick up ten pieces of litter.
The school’s Shoebox Appeal has also collected over 50 boxes for vulnerable families in partnership with Teams4U.
Alsop Sixth Form
The Sixth Form is doing a Reverse Advent Calendar focussing on kindness, generosity and the true spirit of the season! Each day the students are collecting essential items to help those in need have a brighter and more joyful Christmas.
Items being collected include tins of soup, toothbrushes, soap and pet food.
Sixth Formers also took part in the Annual Christmas Dash to raise money for charity as well as Christmas quiz.
Great Sankey High School
Great Sankey hosted its busiest Christmas Book Fair yet, with students also participating in creative writing and poetry competitions.
Festive music will be performed by the school orchestra and choir at events at Livewire and the annual Christmas Concert, showcasing the school’s musical talent.
A non-uniform day is also being used to support Warrington Foodbank this Christmas.
