Purpose
The Attendance Officer plays a critical role in safeguarding pupils and promoting high levels of attendance, punctuality and engagement. The postholder will work proactively with pupils, families, school staff and external agencies to remove barriers to attendance, tackle persistent and severe absence, and ensure full compliance with statutory attendance guidance and safeguarding expectations.
Attendance is a key protective factor for children; therefore, this role carries significant responsibility for early identification of risk, effective intervention and escalation where necessary.

Term time only plus 5 inset days
